Poor..Strong...And Healthy - God's Grace!

It is better to be poor, but strong and healthy, than to be rich, but in poor health.
A sound, healthy body and a cheerful attitude are more valuable than golds and jewels. Nothing can make you richer or give greater happiness than those two things.
It would be better to be dead, asleep forever, than to live in the misery of chronic illness.
The finest food means nothing if you are too sick to eat it; it might as well be offered to an idol. But there is no point in offering food to an idol; it can't eat it or smell it.
It is just the same with someone whom the Lord has afflicted. He looks at his food and sighs, like a castrated man hugging a young woman.
I therefore plead with everyone, that no matter the situation or condition you find yourselves today, be hallowed and humble, cast your lots onto God, you shall have peace, freedom and power.
May the Lord continue His mercy to us and rescue us in our time of need.

My Thoughts and Attitudes

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past,
the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, indebtedness...
or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.
We cannot change our past, whether hunting or not, we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have,
and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.

A Bond Of Trust in Sincerity

Often times, I stand still and reflect of whether to be sincere in my deals and dealings

with people, but despite so many let downs and betrayals, I never wasted no time in believing

that being sincere, means freedom from deceit, hypocrisy, or duplicity; probity in intention

or in communicating, and earnestness. I discovered that it's not enough to tell someone what's

pleasing to hear, but the truth plays an important factor in sincerity as well.

Sincerity is an essential element to life. A sincere person is always welcomed because of his

truthful mind, friendly attitude and unaffected and real personality. Although many a man knows

how sincere acts in life, there are still great number of insincere people. Whether we like it

or not, a sincere person will enjoy a large circle of friends, he 's truthful to everyone.

We need to practice this virtue for these reasons: one, without sincerity, hypocrisy and deception

would be rampant. People would be deceiving others by saying what they don't mean, and with such condition,

the truth will be hardly seen, and may lead to chaos. Many homes, relationships, organizations, and

countries as a whole, are in chaos because of the menace of insincerity.

Secondly, sincerity helps bring about change. If everyone were so hypocritical with what they say, nothing will

change for people would see that what others say are really not meant. Sincerity is an essential virtue in

this world of ours. Without it, bonds of trust would be broken.

I leave everyone to ponder on this till I continue on next note. Peace!

Reminiscence

I could remember in the early eighties, when the economy was beginning to crumble, we (Dad, Mum, my older brother, and I), were gathered at the dinning to discuss the situation and proffer necessary measures so as to sustain our standard of living.
Innocently, my brother and I were made to see the reasons why we needed to change our choice of milk consumption from liquid (Hollander), to powder (NIDO) due to hike in price of liquid milk. We had to adjust in a hard way to the new standing measures. Although, it affected us, I mean my brother and I, but we adjusted.
These days, it's either you don't even drink milk at all, not breast milk, but the irony of it all is that, not so many live the life I 'd enjoyed when so young. My younger ones should not mind me for saying this, they never had the stuffs we (my older brother and I), enjoyed while growing up.
